Cancellation & Refund Policy
Our goal is to provide a reliable international gifting experience while ensuring transparency and fairness. Please review this policy carefully before placing your order.
Important Notice
Universal Gift Baskets coordinates deliveries through trusted local florists, suppliers and courier partners in more than 200 countries. Because products are often prepared specifically for each recipient, cancellations, returns and refunds are subject to the conditions below.
By placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted this Cancellation & Refund Policy together with our Delivery Policy and Terms & Conditions.
Cancellation
Order Cancellation
We generally do not offer refunds for canceled orders.
If you contact us immediately after placing your order and before it has been assigned to one of our local partners or suppliers, we may approve the cancellation at our sole discretion.
Approved cancellations will normally be issued as Store Credit, allowing you to place a future order without losing the value of your purchase.
Once an order has entered processing, sourcing, production, preparation, customization or has been assigned to one of our delivery partners, it can no longer be canceled or refunded.
Orders Already in Process
Because many gifts are custom assembled or prepared locally, our fulfillment process usually begins shortly after payment is received.
Once preparation has started, the order cannot be canceled, modified or refunded.
Gift Certificates
- Gift certificates redeemed with third-party providers cannot be canceled once payment has been processed.
- Universal Gift Baskets Gift Certificates may only be canceled if they have not been redeemed.
- When applicable, approved cancellations will be issued as Store Credit.
Returns
Due to the nature of international gift deliveries, most orders cannot be returned once delivered. Many of our products are prepared fresh, customized, or sourced locally for each individual order.
Eligible Returns
A return may be considered only when a non-perishable product arrives damaged, defective, or substantially different from the item ordered.
Requests must be submitted within 48 hours after delivery and must include photographs showing the product, packaging, and shipping label whenever applicable.
Inspection Process
Every claim is reviewed individually. We may request additional photographs or information before determining the appropriate resolution.
Depending on the circumstances, we may offer one of the following remedies:
- Replacement of the original gift.
- Delivery of an alternative gift of equal value.
- Store Credit.
Non-Returnable Products
The following products are not eligible for return unless they arrive damaged or defective:
- Fresh flowers.
- Fresh fruit.
- Cakes and bakery products.
- Chocolates and perishable food.
- Personalized or customized gifts.
- Corporate branded products.
- Gift baskets assembled specifically for your order.
- Products consumed, opened or partially used after delivery.
Fresh & Perishable Products
Because flowers, fruit, gourmet food, baked goods and similar products are highly perishable, they cannot be returned once delivered.
If you believe your order arrived in unacceptable condition, please contact us within 48 hours and include clear photographs. Our team will investigate and determine an appropriate solution.
Refused Deliveries
Orders refused by the recipient, abandoned, or left unclaimed after delivery attempts are not eligible for return, refund, or Store Credit.
Return Shipping
When a physical return is exceptionally approved, the customer is responsible for following our return instructions. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.
Any approved return must be received in the condition instructed by our Customer Support team before any resolution can be processed.
Because every gift is prepared specifically for its recipient, we encourage customers to carefully review all product information before placing an order. Most international gift deliveries cannot be returned after shipment or delivery.
Refunds
Because every order is prepared specifically for the recipient and coordinated through our international partner network, refunds are generally not available once an order has entered processing.
General Refund Policy
Universal Gift Baskets does not provide cash refunds for canceled or completed orders except where required by applicable law or when expressly approved by our management.
When an exception is approved before processing begins, the order value will normally be issued as Store Credit, which may be used toward any future purchase.
Incorrect or Incomplete Delivery Information
Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery information, including the recipient's full name, delivery address, phone number, email address (when available), and any information required to access the delivery location.
Universal Gift Baskets is not responsible for delivery delays, failed deliveries, additional delivery charges, or losses resulting from incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate delivery information supplied by the customer.
Orders that cannot be completed because the delivery information is incorrect or incomplete are not eligible for a refund or Store Credit.
Recipient Unavailable or Unresponsive
Our delivery partners may attempt to contact the recipient to coordinate delivery or verify address information.
If the recipient refuses to answer calls, messages, emails, or otherwise cannot be reached, we cannot guarantee successful delivery.
Orders affected by an unresponsive recipient are not eligible for refunds.
Failed Deliveries
Refunds will not be issued when delivery cannot be completed due to circumstances including, but not limited to:
- Incorrect or incomplete delivery information.
- Recipient unavailable after reasonable delivery attempts.
- Recipient refuses delivery.
- Recipient cannot be located.
- Recipient no longer resides at the provided address.
- Delivery restrictions imposed by apartments, gated communities, offices, hotels, hospitals or other facilities.
Delivery Delays
Delivery dates are estimates and cannot be guaranteed.
Delays caused by customs, weather conditions, transportation disruptions, local holidays, political events, strikes, traffic restrictions, courier schedules, security procedures, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control do not qualify for refunds.
Product Availability & Substitutions
To avoid unnecessary delivery delays, we reserve the right to substitute unavailable products with similar items of equal or greater value while maintaining the overall style and quality of the gift.
Such substitutions do not qualify for refunds.
Fraud Prevention
We reserve the right to delay, cancel, verify or reject any order that appears suspicious or potentially fraudulent.
Additional identity verification or payment verification may be requested before processing begins.
If verification cannot be completed satisfactorily, the order may be canceled at our discretion.
Transaction Verification
First-time customers or orders identified by our fraud prevention system may receive a verification email or phone call before processing begins.
Processing may be delayed until verification has been successfully completed.
By placing an order, you acknowledge that international gift deliveries require accurate recipient information and cooperation from the recipient when necessary. Refunds will not be issued for failed deliveries resulting from incorrect delivery information, unavailable recipients, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Force Majeure
Universal Gift Baskets shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather, pandemics, government restrictions, customs delays, transportation disruptions, strikes, civil unrest, war, terrorism, power outages, supplier shortages, or other force majeure events.
Limitation of Liability
Our maximum liability for any approved claim shall never exceed the amount paid for the affected order.
Universal Gift Baskets shall not be responsible for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, emotional, or punitive damages, including loss of business, loss of profits, or missed celebrations resulting from delivery delays or unsuccessful deliveries.

We reserve the right to update, modify or replace this policy at any time without prior notice.
The version published on this website at the time of your purchase shall apply to your order.
Governing Law
These policies shall be interpreted and governed in accordance with the applicable laws governing Universal Gift Baskets and any mandatory consumer protection laws applicable to the customer.
